iTEP? More Like iStep at CCID Conference It’s not every day that an iTEP banner is illuminated in disco lights in front of a dance party, but the CCID (Community Colleges for International Development) Annual Conference is special. Last year, when the conference was held in Atlanta, iTEP Academic Director Lee Rabideau?? did an Elvis impression before his presentation. This year, the conference was in Las Vegas, Nevada. Coincidence? You decide. Since we had to outdo ourselves, iTEP sponsored the after dinner banquet dance party and drinks on Sunday night. It was a lot of fun, and a great conference overall. Community Colleges serve an increasingly international student body, and more and more of these institutions are turning to the only English proficiency test with the flexibility to meet their needs. The different versions of the test, ease of access to scores, and on-demand scheduling suits the community college educational environment perfectly, it seems. Another highlight of the conference was meeting Bellevue University Senior Director of International Programs, Lee Westphal, and President Mary Hawkins. Their institution was another sponsor of the conference. Here they are with iTEP’s??Sharif??Ossayran and Michael Salenko.
