Director, Business Development - Mexico

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Director, Business Development, Mexico to join our team and drive growth in English Language Testing for the academic and workforce markets in Mexico. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and building partnerships with key stakeholders in the industry. This is a high-profile role that requires a results-driven individual with excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills, reporting to the CEO of iTEP and Executive Director of iTEP Mexico.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and new markets for English language testing products and services.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across specified segments in Mexico and, including partnerships and collaborations with universities, schools, companies and skills training platforms.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and university customers across the company network and externally.
  • Utilize market research to identify customer needs and stay abreast of industry trends and developments.
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to senior management.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to network with potential customers and partners.
  • Collaborate with various departments within iTEP in the US and elsewhere.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. A master’s degree or MBA with international experience is a plus.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in sales, business development or corporate development.
  • Experience with education and/or HR workforce industries in Mexico is a plus, as is knowledge of the English language testing market, including key players, trends, and customer needs.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales strategies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. 
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel within Mexico, and the US, as required.
  • A successful candidate must be a Mexican national with native Spanish and proficient English capabilities.

Compensation:

The compensation package for this position will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive base salary, the successful candidate will be eligible for the following benefits:
