Business Development Specialist - Vietnam
We are seeking a Business Development Specialist to join our team and drive growth in English Language Testing for the academic and workforce markets in Vietnam and, secondarily, Southeast Asia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and building partnerships with key stakeholders in the industry. This is a dynamic role that requires a results-driven individual with excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and new markets for English language testing products and services.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in Vietnam, including partnerships and collaborations with universities, schools, companies and skills training platforms.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the company’s existing Asia and Vietnam partners, and externally.
- Utilize market research to identify customer needs and stay abreast of industry trends and developments.
- Work closely with our business development, IT and academic teams to ensure that products and services meet customer needs and market demand.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to senior management.
- Attend industry events and conferences to network with potential customers and partners.
- Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, customer service, and IT, to ensure a smooth operation of the business.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Vietnam and/or Asia-based sales, business development or corporate development.
- Experience with education and/or HR workforce industries is a plus, as is knowledge of the English language testing market, including key players, trends, and customer needs.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:
This position is on a contract basis with a 6-month review and the possibility of extension.
