iTEP a “bueno, bonito, y barato” English testing solution for Mexico

iTEP made major strides in Mexico this quarter when the CGUTyP, a national association of technical and polytechnic schools, mandated iTEP as the English assessment test for use by its member institutions with students applying for scholarships, as part of President Obama’s 100,000 Strong in the Americas program. We are honored to have been selected as the English test for this prestigious initiative.

Following a successful exhibition at the CONAHEC conference at which iTEP staff met with the Governor of the Mexican state of San Luis Potosí, iTEP will be attending and exhibiting at the FIID international language conference May 19-21 in Guadalajara.

“We are seeing incredible growth in Mexico, and the continued growth potential is huge,” says iTEP Mexico Vice President Michael Salenko. “Less then 13% of the Mexican population has any level of English proficiency, so the demand for improvement is certainly there. We are thrilled that iTEP has been welcomed as a ‘bueno, bonito, y barato’ English assessment option by the Mexican education community.”
